Love of God – what is it?

Love of God, what is it?  Does God really love me?   The love of God unique and special.  He loved us while we were still sinners and continues to love us.  God is love and He loves you, He really does! He doesn’t love everything you do, but He always loves you regardless. The love of God is unconditional and He wants you to know just how much He loves you. Too many people don’t know God loves them, some think God is mad at them while others doubt and question His love for them. God loves you and here’s how you can know for sure! 

Why Does God Love You?

Why does God love you? It is not because of anything you do. There is nothing you can do to get God to love you any more than He does right now and there is nothing you can do to make Him stop loving you. He loves you because you are His creation and He is God. God is love.  He does not just have love or show love – He is LOVE.  Love is who He is. Love is His character.  If He does not love He stops being God.

God loved you before the foundations of the world. (Ephesians 1:4)  Romans 5:8 tells us, He loved us while we were yet sinners.  In others words God did not with hold His love and wait until you reached a certain point in your life before He would love you.   It goes us on to say in verse 9 and 10 if He loved you then how much MORE does He stretch out His love toward you now that you are part of the family of God through Jesus.

God created you so He could love you. God loves you on your good days and on your bad days.  His love is there when you feel it and don’t feel it.  He not only loves you when you think you deserve it, but even when you don’t deserve it. His love is amazing, it is extravagant. 

How Much Does God Love You?

It is difficult for us with our human limitations to fully grasp the magnitude of God’s love.  It is only by revelation through the spirit of God that we can begin to understand and comprehend how great  His love for us is.  That is exactly what Paul prayed here in Ephesians 3:17-19;  “I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love.  And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power understand the greatness of Christ’s love–how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.  Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God.”

God Loves You this Much…

1.  How wide is God’s love?   – Wide enough to be everywhere.  There is no place on earth or even in all of the universe that God’s love does not reach. His love is in the night clubs, it is in the darkest places, it is where the most desperate and needy are.

2.  How long is God’s love?  Long enough to last forever.  God’s love is not like human love that often fails. That’s why relationships break up, marriages end in divorces, and people hurt each other.   God will never, never, never, never stop loving you – it is an – “Everlasting Love”, it will never fail.

3.  How Deep is God’s love?  It is deep enough to handle anything – no matter how deep the pain, trouble, or hurt – it is deep enough to reach down and rescue you.  There is no pit deeper that God’s love.

4.  How high is God’s Love?  It is high enough to rise above your sins, faults and mistakes.  Because of Jesus God offers forgiveness through the cross. Because of His love you have the chance to start over.
My desire is for each of you to receive the answer to Paul’s prayer and comprehend how great God’s love towards you is. God does love you!

God’s Love Changes Your Life – 6 Positive Changes

How would your life change if you were aware everyday of God’s unconditional and everlasting love?   If every morning when you got up you instantly were aware of His love. It when you took a shower and got ready for work or school you knew He loved you.  If while at at work or school you felt that love.  Even when you failed or missed it you knew God still loved you.   What would your life be like? What happens when you’re constantly aware of God’s love?

1. You feel accepted rather than rejected.
2. You have confidence and boldness to bring your needs before the Lord.
3. You are always aware of His presence which gives peace and joy.
4. You have no fear because His perfect love cast out all fear.
5. You have no worry
6. You have no guilt or condemnation.

No Matter What You’ve Done God Loves You

You may mess up, but know this, your heavenly Father is coming to you and saying its okay I am going to help you work it out.  “He works everything together for good for those who love Him” (Romans 8:28)  You know you can trust God and you know He knows what’s best for you.  His love never fails (1Corinthians 13:8)

The apostle Paul put it this way in Romans 8:35-39; “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

There is nothing that can separate you from the love of God.  He loves you, He always has and He always will.  Let God love you. If you would begin to soak in the reality of this truth, what a difference it would make.  Let it get inside you. Let it start to flow within you. And  begin saying, “God is love.” “He loves me.” “He wants a relationship with me.” Really, He does.  GOD LOVES YOU!!!!
