HEALING FOR YOU

If you have sickness or disease in your body there is “breakthrough healing” for you! You can be healed.

At the bottom of this page are links to several resources to encourage you and build your hope and faith for breakthrough healing.

The biggest question in the minds of many, “IS IT GOD’S WILL TO HEAL?”  If you are not sure it is God’s will to heal you can never have faith to believe God for your healing.  So, lets quickly answer that question and then give you three key evidences of God’s provision for healing.

God’s Will is to Heal You

God is not the one who causes sickness and disease.  God originally designed mankind to be healthy and whole.  Sickness and disease is an assault on your health by an enemy. God does not use sickness to punish or train His people.  If a human father injected his children with cancer or some other disease as a form of discipline he would be arrested for child abuse.  Yet, many accuse our heavenly Father of the same thing.

If you don’t know or question whether it is God’s will to heal you, you will not be able to have faith for your healing.  There will always be an element of doubt whether it is God’s will to heal you.  So, settle the issue once and for all God wants you well!

Jesus answered this question once and for all in Matthew 8:2-3, “And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

Leprosy was the most dreaded disease of that time in history.  The leper had the same question most everyone has today.  Most believe God is able to heal them, they are just not sure He is willing to heal them.  So, the leper asked Jesus directly, ” are you willing?”.   Jesus answered Him, “I am willing,”.

Once Jesus answered this question for the leper He answered it for everyone.  What He did for him he will do for you.  He is not a respecter of persons.  (Romans 2:11)  God’s Will is to Heal You!

The following are three additional proofs of God’s provision for healing;

I.  Jesus is the Healer

Acts 10:38 tells, ” how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Jesus is the healer.  God revealed Himself as the healer in the old testament. We read in Exodus 15:26, “For I am the Lord who heals you.”  God  demonstrates His provision for healing through His son Jesus.   Throughout His earthly ministry you see Jesus healing people of all kinds of sickness and disease.  You never see Jesus putting sickness on anyone or telling anyone who comes to Him for prayer to stay sick because it will help them be a better person.  When Jesus sees people in need He is moved with compassion.  Matthew 14:14, “and when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.”

Jesus is the Healer!  What He did two thousand years ago during His earthly ministry is still doing today.  “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrew 13:8)

II.  Healing Provided at Calvary

When Jesus died on the cross at Calvary He not only provide forgiveness of sin but healing for sickness and disease.  Isaiah prophesied in 53:2-5, “For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Peter quotes this last part of Isaiah in 1 Peter 2:24, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”   Notice instead of saying “are healed” Peter says “were healed “.  Isaiah was looking forward and prophesying what Jesus would do Peter was looking back at what Jesus had already done.

Almost no one argues or disagrees with the fact that Jesus provided forgiveness of sins at Calvary but many struggle with believing God provided healing.  Forgiveness and healing go together.  We see it in Isaiah 53, 1Peter 2:24 and also in James 5:13-14 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-30.  Healing is Provided at Calvary!

III.  Redeemed From the Curse

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”  (Galatians 3:13)

As a Christian you have been redeemed from the curse of law.  Under the law a person came under the curse because of disobedience. The curse included spiritual death, poverty and sickness.  (Deuteronomy 28)  When a person receives Christ they are no longer under the law but now in Christ.
